Quality Facilitator – Night Shift

Fibertex is looking to fill the position of Quality Facilitator to work as part of the Fibertex Operations team. The Quality Facilitator is involved in a variety of laboratory-based investigations testing physical properties and creating analysis of test data for management review.

1. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Carry out sampling, testing, measuring, recording and analysis of results
  • Perform advanced statistical calculations regarding test results
  • Communicate test results to the production line
  • Perform quality audits on the production floor to verify that proper production processes are being followed and that finished product meets all spec requirements
  • Provide all the required technical support to enable the laboratory to function effectively while adhering to correct procedures and health and safety guidelines
  • Assists in the development, production and advancement of performance-driven fabrics in support of key industries such as hygiene, automotive and industrial products. The Lab Technician position requires strong analytical skills

2. QUALIFICATIONS / COMPETENCIES

  • Strong organizational and planning skill are required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate verbally, and via written/electronic means
  • With adequate coordination with your manager, be able to work independently on projects
  • Demonstrate proficiency with math: percentages, decimals and pre-algebra
  • Ability to work proficiently in Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Good working knowledge of statistics (e.g. – mean, standard deviation, control charts, CpK)
  • Be able to work at times within factory floor conditions (warm environment, noise, etc)
  • Must be able to read, understand and execute written test procedures
  • Must be able to communicate with customers when needed.
  • Must be safety minded, prepared to read, understand and follow safety requirements

3. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate or Bachelor degree or 3 years textile related lab experience is preferred
  • Experience with manufacturing and/or laboratory environments, microbiological testing, data entry and reporting to ERP
  • Completed coursework with college level mathematics and chemistry
  • Experience with maintaining, calibrating and operating laboratory equipment

4. SHIFTS AVAILABLE

  • Nights 7PM-7AM
