Fibertex Environmental and Energy Policy
At Fibertex Nonwovens A/S we are dedicated to responsible manufacturing, driving continuous improvements in environmental and energy performance, and reducing our environmental footprint. Our aim is to lower the impact of our processes and products throughout their lifecycle, from raw material sourcing to end use.
Scope
This policy applies to all production sites and employees of Fibertex Nonwovens.

Fibertex Health and Safety Policy
As a large global company, Fibertex Nonwovens is responsible for more than 1,000 employees. We want everyone to be treated with respect and to work in a safe and healthy environment.
The safety of employees, contractors, visitors and other stakeholders to Fibertex Nonwovens facilities is of the utmost importance to us and, for this reason, we are committed to complying with all legal requirements and occupational health and safety regulations applicable to our business and to continually strive to improve our work environment by ensuring the prevention of injuries, accidients and occupational illnesses, and by working to eliminate hazards and reduce risks in the workplace. To ensure optimal safety at all times, we rely on our employees to ensure that work areas are kept safe, healthy and free of hazardous conditions. Employees must be aware of ergonomics and safety in the workplace, by implementing proper operating methods and recognising and preventing non-ergonomic and/or dangerous conditions or risks:
- Any non-ergonomic, unsafe conditions or potential risks must be reported to the Health and Safety Committee or a representative, even if the problem appears to have been rectified.
- Any suspected hidden danger and risk present in our facilities, or in a product, installation, equipment, process or business practice for which Fibertex Nonwovens is responsible, must be brought to the attention of the Health and Safety Committee or a representative immediately.
- Any injury, accident, or illness in the workplace must be reported to the Health and Safety Committee or a representative as soon as possible, regardless of the severity of the injury or accident.
- Fibertex Nonwovens promotes and encourages worker participation and consultation.
Periodically, Fibertex Nonwovens updates / issues new rules and guidelines governing workplace health and safety, which may include regulations regarding fire protection or the handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals and waste. All employees must familiarise themselves with these procedures, as strict compliance is expected of our staff.
Common sense is the number one rule in preventing workplace accidents:
- Do not operate any equipment, tool or device without prior instructions or training.
- Do not operate any equipment, tool or device if you suspect it is defective.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) is made available to all employees and it is mandatory to use this equipment in line with the safety regulations.
- Fire protection equipment is made available at all facilities and regularly tested
- If you have any questions about safety issues, always consult the local health and safety committee or representative.
General site safety rules are presented during induction after recruitment and reinforced during on-the-job training. We are all responsible for compliance with these safety rules and must observe the regulations at all times. If you have any questions about any site safety rules, please contact the Health and Safety Committee or a representative.
Our Occupational health and safety committee meets quarterly to review, discuss and evaluate any deviations, accidents or near-miss incidents. Preventative measures are regularly updated to ensure continuous improvement in health and safety standards across all areas of our business.
Emergency preparedness:
To ensure that all our employees are prepared and can act responsibly and safely in case of an emergency, we are committed to training and educating all relevant employees, conducting regular emergency drills to achieve the best emergency preparedness.
