Spunmelt production technology

Spunmelt/spunbond production lines, including bicomponent spunmelt production facilities designed for producing fabrics for baby diapers, feminine hygiene and the adult incontinence market.

The spunbond-meltblown technology is an integrated one-step process ranging from resin extrusion to lightweight fabric production.

Weights range from 8 g/m² to 75 g/m².

From granules to nonwoven

The PP granules are melted/extruded and spun into endless fibres, then thermally bonded to form a final nonwoven.

New spunmelt line

In 2006, Fibertex undertook a large expansion of its production capacity (in Aalborg) by adding a Reicofil 4 line, which will mainly be used for the production of lightweight products.
