In recent months the global price level of our main raw materials has again been increasing significantly. This applies both for polypropylene as well as for polyester. Many factors such as high oil prices, shortage of supply and the general demand and supply situation are resulting in further increases. Generally, it is the expected that polypropylene and polyester will remain at a high level in the future.
We are no longer able to absorb these increased costs. In order to compensate partly for these increases Fibertex are increasing prices by about 10% effective 1 March 2011.
In this situation Fibertex will strive to keep and secure competitive prices and continue to take measures to avoid further increases.
Fibertex will continue to do the utmost to fulfil the needs of our customers for reliable deliveries and good service.
