Environmental and Energy Policy

Fibertex’s policy is to develop, produce and deliver high quality products and be a reliable and responsible
supplier. That is why Fibertex has prepared an environmental and energy policy to be implemented at all
levels within the organisation. The policy applies for all products, processes and activities having an impact
on significant environmental conditions and energy consumption.

By introducing Environmental
and Energy Management according to DS/EN ISO 14001 and DS 2403*), we will strive:

Continual improvement
To
monitor the external and internal environmental impacts arising from Fibertex’s activities. Our environmental and energy efforts must result in ongoing reductions and prevention of such impacts. Each year, a programme will be set up that outlines specific objectives for the relevant area of environmental impact and energy consumption to be reduced. All employees must be familiar with the spheres of responsibility and competence in this regard.

To minimise – whenever feasible in terms of finances and technology – environmental effects, consumption of raw materials and the generation of waste at all levels within the organisation. This will be achieved by developing new products and processes, by introducing new technology and by adjusting production equipment and existing processes and routines. Also improve energy consumption - wherever feasible in terms of finances and technology. This will be achieved by energy-conscious purchasing, design activities and maintenance. In addition, Fibertex has made an agreement with the Danish company Energistyrelsen about improved energy efficiency.

Authorities

To comply – as a minimum - with relevant legislation and statutory requirements.

T

raining
To use educational and informative measures to involve and motivate our employees actively, so that all personnel feel a high degree of responsibility and commitment, and so that they act in accordance with Fibertex’s environmental and energy policy and the targets set.

Suppliers
To
let our potential and existing suppliers’ and sub-suppliers’ ability to enter into an open and close partnership about environmentally friendly solutions be an important criterion in the selection of such suppliers and sub-suppliers.

Customers
To
provide our customers with advice on significant environmental aspects in connection with the use and disposal of Fibertex products. To motivate customers to demand and use products which are generally acknowledged to be least harmful to the environment.

Communication
To
communicate openly with authorities, customers, employees and other interested parties who wish to know about the environmental impact that arises from Fibertex’s activities as listed in our Environmental Report.
To make our environmental and energy policy available to the public and visible internally in the organisation.
