2011
Fibertex Industrial Nonwovens and Fibertex Personal Care are split into two independent legal entities with effect from
1 January 2011. The new company name for Fibertex Industrial Nonwovens is Fibertex Nonwovens A/S.
2010
Fibertex starts up a new factory in South Africa with a view to manufacturing and marketing needlepunch products – primarily geotextiles for construction works and products for the growing South African automotive industry.
2009
Jørgen Bech Madsen, Fibertex Industrial Nonwovens and Mikael Staal Axelsen, Fibertex Personal Care and, are appointed as CEOs to achieve maximum utilisation of the growth opportunities.

2008
Installation of a high capacity needlepunch line in Denmark and a new needlepunch line with aerodynamic carding in the Czech Republic

Installation of a new state-of-the-art needlepunch production line at a new site in the Czech Republic, the most advanced of its kind in Europe, bringing the next generation of nonwovens into technical applications.
2004
Fibertex acquires the Czech nonwovens manufacturer Vigona (now Fibertex,a.s.)

Change in ownership. New owner is the Danish industrial conglomerate Aktieselskabet Schouw & Co.
2001
Certification according to DS/EN ISO 14001 Environmental Management System in Aalborg, Denmark.
1999
Fibertex Portugal is established as a sales subsidiary 100% owned by Fibertex.
Mid-1990s
A major investment programme initiated bringing Fibertex into a solid position as an increasingly important supplier of nonwovens. Fibertex starts supplying the Personal Care industry.
1996
Fibertex France, SARL, is established as a sales subsidiary 100% owned by Fibertex.
1991
Certification according to ISO 9001 Quality Management System in Aalborg, Denmark.
1990
Fibertex Spain is established in 1990 as a sales subsidiary
100 % owned by Fibertex A/S.
Installation of new fibre technology for needlepunch production.
1989
Expansion of fibre & needlepunch production in new facilities in Aalborg, Denmark.
1970s
Needlepunch product portfolio widened to include geotextiles and nonwovens for Furniture & Bedding.
1968
Fibertex founded by the EAC.
First production line for needlepunch producing carpet backings in Aalborg, Denmark.
